"An invitation to experiment the verticality of Time and Space, where sound and colors, light and shapes, energy and consciousness blend into one single entity." - PHILIPPE ROBERT, critic and writer, author of Musiques Expérimentales
(Le mot et le reste)

The very first art monograph in print on the 'aliencentric world' of visionary outsider duo My Cat Is An Alien (MCIAA) and their interdisciplinary universe. Radical instantaneous composers, shamanic live performers and iconoclastic visual artists, brothers Maurizio and Roberto Opalio unveil a rich and astounding selection of their own paintings, drawings, installations, Polaroids, b&w photos, sculptures, cinematic poetry film stills, artist books, intermedia objects and phonographic art editions handcrafted during MCIAA's two decades of activity. Previewed at MCIAA's opening of Xavier Veilhan's Studio Venezia at 57th Venice Art Biennale, the book (150 pages, 240 full-color illustrations) includes memorabilia from the Opalio brothers' private collections and MCIAA Archives. With essays by the Wire magazine editor-in-chief and publisher Tony Herrington and writer Ken Hollings taken from extended articles and cover feature. As Philippe Robert writes in his foreword, "For the Opalio brothers the creative act is as serious as their own lives. Needless to say, this is an implicitly political act of resistance. Immersive, their own Merzbau has no limits. Space is the Place".
